Why tax considerations are important

We want to help you pay as little taxes as are necessary. Why is it important to make sure you are not paying more in taxes than you are required?  Keeping more of your money allows you to:  save more for your retirement,  you can help your family,  you can give more to charity,  or you could hire more employees to help grow your business.

How can I help you? By reviewing your current plan, and working with your current tax advisor. Are you a sole proprietor or do you have a corporation/ LLC? Are your investments growing in tax deferred vehicles or in taxable accounts?  Do you give to charity and are currently taking RMDs? Are you eligible for an HSA?  Do you have brokerage accounts?

These are just some of the basic questions to get you started. The goal is to try to make sure you are being tax efficient and not paying out more than you must.

But there is more to the planning that I do. The items above really look at just the taxes you are paying today.  And while no one wants to pay more today than they must, they often don't understand how their current investments will affect them in retirement.  By not having your assets located in the right buckets you could set yourself up for future tax traps. Do you understand how your future income will impact how much you pay for Medicare? What about RMD’s on your IRAs and 401(k)?  While this may seem complicated, don’t worry I will do most of the heavy lifting and when needed, I have additional partners I collaborate with to create your plan.
